Court skills – What social workers say…
Just a quick email to feedback that I personally found the ASYE court skills session on Friday to be very useful and well delivered.
I gained so much from it and I know that many of the others felt the same way. It’s not often that I feel this way about training particularly where there is role play involved but this is an instance where I feel really positive about my learning and that it was definitely money well spent by the council.
I’ve done lots of court training – this was fabulous – thank you.
I have a greater understanding of the expectations and will be incorporating what I’ve learned into my daily practice and training my team.
Really good informative trainers able to share their knowledge and experience.
I loved the interactive aspect, learning how it feels to be in others’ shoes.
Very helpful use of examples where participants were able to share experiences and have questions answered by the panel.
Useful training as this was not provided when doing my social work degree.
I feel that the training was delivered well and was very informative for my understanding and to ease my anxieties about giving evidence.
I’m going to share this learning when supporting staff with cases in court … I feel this training was at a good pace and the practical application of learning made legislation interesting. Thanks.
Very helpful use of examples where participants were able to share experiences and have questions answered by the panel.
I wanted to removed my fear of the court process, gain a better understanding of what the judge plus legal teams will focus on with my reports … I found the information provided in the law summary very insightful and informative. Hearing the tips and advice given by Louise and Antonia in relation to what judges expect etc has helped to eliminate some of the fears which in turn will increase my confidence
